February 9, 2021 – April 20, 2021

Are you suffering from chronic pain, fatigue, or other chronic stress-related symptoms and running out of hope for getting better? This course will introduce you to what could be the missing piece to your health puzzle. We combine cutting-edge mind-body science with the power of community and healing practices to help you begin to recover and get your life back!

Do you suffer from chronic back pain, sciatica or migraines? Maybe you live with irritable bowel, interstitial cystitis or chronic fatigue? Or possibly you’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, POTS, or TMJ? Does anxiety or depression also make life challenging? We certainly know what it’s like to be desperate for answers to these chronic symptoms.

That’s why we’ve created How We Heal Chronic Pain & Fatigue. In this course, we’ll teach you about the pain science that helped us heal. Through the work of Dr. John Sarno, Dr. Howard Schubiner and other mind-body experts, we now know stress and repressed emotions often cause chronic symptoms. And when we learn how learned neural pathways keep our symptoms alive, we open a new pathway to healing. There truly is hope for long-term recovery from chronic symptoms!

Michelle is a life coach and poet who found her creative voice and mind-body coaching after recovering from decades of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, POTS, and Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome pain. Through Dr. Howard Schubiner’s teachings, she healed her TMS and uses mind-body science and creativity to help clients discover the truth inside of their symptoms. She loves helping clients get their lives back! Michelle is committed to creating healing communities through her online group courses and is thrilled to be collaborating with Jill Pratt in How We Heal Chronic Pain & Fatigue.

Jill Pratt is a life and mind-body coach who works with professionals around the world focused on global social justice issues. She finds meaning in walking with clients as they seek to remain grounded in who they truly are, connected to their core values, across diverse contexts, and amidst life’s biggest challenges. Having used the mind-body healing approach to heal from 17 years of chronic migraines and other symptoms, Jill brings this perspective into her coaching with a passion for educating others about how to heal from symptoms small and complex. Jill recently relocated to Denver, Colorado after five years working on political advocacy in the Middle East. She has lived and worked in China, Japan, Kenya, and throughout the Middle East. Course Q & A

HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M READY FOR THIS COURSE?

  • You’ve had major disease or structural causes ruled out by your medical practitioners. We are not doctors and cannot diagnose you. It’s essential that you see your medical professional to evaluate your symptoms prior to this class.
  • Your symptoms haven’t improved by treatments that you’ve tried.
  • You’re open to exploring your life experiences, emotions and physical sensations as pathways to healing.
  • You are eager to work with thought patterns to retrain your brain.
  • You appreciate learning in a supportive community.

WHAT SYMPTOMS RESPOND TO MIND-BODY WORK? Assuming there’s no major structural or pathological issue, How We Heal can help with chronic back, neck or shoulder pain, chronic fatigue, migraines, fibromyalgia, CRPS, POTS, irritable bowel and bladder, pelvic pain, TMJ, repetitive stress injuries, hypersensitivity syndromes, anxiety, insomnia and other stress-related conditions. It can also help with pain thought to be caused by Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome. (EDS) See a complete list of questions and diagnoses on the Psychophysiologic Disorders Association website

HOW DO I REGISTER? Fill out our registration form with some basic questions and follow the prompts to pay by credit card on our secure system. Register by February 2, 2021 for a discounted rate.

HOW COULD MY BRAIN BE CAUSING MY SYMPTOMS, THEY FEEL SO REAL. Your chronic symptoms are absolutely 100% real and you feel them in your body. But we know that stress-related symptoms are generated by the subconscious mind. When dealing with life stress or repressed emotions our brains go into protective mode on our behalf, creating symptoms. Mind-body symptoms are a normal human experience. Everyone can relate to feeling sick to your stomach before a big test or difficult conversation. Or when our cheeks blush with embarrassment or getting a headache after a stressful day. These are all symptoms created by the brain and emotions. We now know chronic symptoms connect with and are perpetuated by our brains in this same way.

WHY SHOULD I TAKE A GROUP CLASS INSTEAD OF 1:1 COACHING? Together we will harness the power of a safe and supportive community! Not only will you be guided by two caring life coaches, you’ll learn from your peers. You don’t have to go it alone! This course will give you a strong education on Mind-Body Syndrome (MBS), Tension Myoneural Syndrome (TMS) and psychophysiologic pain (PPD), as well as provide somatic meditations and resources for your home practice. It’s a foundational course, whether you’re new to mind-body work or stuck in your TMS journey. Plus, this group course is much more affordable than 1:1 coaching. If you would like to meet for private coaching, reach out to me, mwiegers@gmail.com or schedule a free initial session on my scheduling page.
