I am a poet and creative writer who draws inspiration from the natural and the spiritual. My incredible story of healing from lifelong chronic illness deeply shapes my writing as well. My poems have appeared in The Path to Kindness, How to Love the World, Healing the Divide, Birchsong Anthology, Third Wednesday, among others. I live in Southern Vermont with my husband and four children. In my coaching work, I’m a passionate advocate for accessing our creativity as a main source for healing our minds, bodies and spirits. Please follow the links below to read some of my work.
Creative Coaching
I love the wild journey of living into creative expression! In Creative Coaching you will pursue your creative voice and projects as you deeply nourish yourself in the powerful setting of a coaching conversation. You’ll identify and work towards the creative shifts you want to make while exploring any roadblocks that stand in your way. As you live into your creative voice, you’ll access deeper parts of yourself, which helps you build a stronger relationship with your creativity.
Learning how to make creative choices that align with your values, identity and deeper purpose can launch you into the creative life you long for. You’ll set your creativity free as you challenge old thought patterns, identify fears that keep you stuck, and make choices that expand your creative self.

- “The Girl Who Drew Memories” Art Exhibition by Gail Winbury, Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont. December 3, 2022- February 25, 2023. Michelle’s poem, “Her Many Losses”, is displayed next to and inspired by Winbury’s painting, Her Sweater. The exhibition focuses on childhood memory. The opening is taking place on December 3, 2022, from 2pm-4pm, which includes a poetry reading by the small group of poets that SVAC invited to write original poetry in response to Gail Winbury’s “The Other Side” series. With these painting-poem pairings, visitors will engage in a multidisciplinary experience which will hopefully lead them to reflect on their own lives and memories.
